The rooms were mind-blowingly spacious, with vintage furniture that gave the hotel a unique charm. The amenities provided, such as air conditioning and a fridge, were super convenient. The breakfast spread was good enough, with delicious local cakes. And the best part? Pets were allowed with no extra charge!

Room size

No a la carte restaurant in 4* hotel, really?!?. The bar not open at the time of our visit, even though it is advertised on the hotel website. That drops the hotel to the B&B category. Lift is a bit scary. Channels on the TV are not sorted, you have to flip through a lot of channels, most of them not working.

This hotel was great, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and friendly. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good, with friendly staff offering cooked egg options. Great pool and sauna, too. The hotel is well-situated in the centre of Gyor, and staff are eager to welcome and help visitors; the director even brought us down a complimentary plate of snacks while we were swimming! I hope they maintain the decor with its dark, heavy 1980's wood panelling and the pre-1989 lighting globes, as it looks great and is very elegant... I know that sometimes this decor is not so much in favour anymore, but we liked it a lot! Would definitely return.

Could use a better range of TV channels; CNN was listed as one of the channels but it was not available. The bathroom could use the return of the very nice, heavy 1980's towel racks which were removed. There was a kettle in the room, which was very useful, but it would be nice to have just a few tea bags/coffee as well.

We had a great stay at Hotel Konferencia in the historic part of town. The location was perfect and within walking distance from the train station. Despite some confusion with maps, the hotel was clean and welcoming. The family suite was spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Audi factory tour that the receptionist booked for us. The pool was also a great feature, being quiet in the evenings. We would definitely go back and recommend it to others!

Our room was very clean, very big and perfect for a family. The breakfast was good. this hotel is very well located and easy to reach.

The carpets could be replaced or better cleaned. The lift was too small and the odor was not pleasant. It would be better if the staff could speak more english.

I have stayed in many hotels around Gyor and this suited me the best. The hotel is in a nice location and is quiet. However it is very close to the center (5 mins Max). I stayed in a suite, it was real clean, big and well presented. It has a kettle in the room which was great to make a quick brew. The pool was clean and of a good size to swim in. It does not have a shallow end for kids, it is about 1.25mts deep. The sauna was never on, but I never asked about it as I only had time to swim. The staff were great and nothing is a problem and all spoke English. I noticed there is a sun bed but not sure if it worked. To sum it up, I have again booked the hotel for another 2 weeks as I am so happy with it. The decor is real nice with dark wood and very stately feeling.

Difficult to get your car to the hotel if you did not know your way around Gyor. You need to get in via the old steel bridge. Just for information, must press a button for the Hotel located at the sleeping policemen to get in to the grounds. But it is worth the effort.

The hotel is ideally located in the city center, making it convenient for exploring the Old City. The rooms are spacious and come with wooden furniture, giving them a cozy and traditional feel. I particularly enjoyed having a balcony to sit and relax on. The staff provided excellent service and the breakfast had a variety of options to choose from.

One of the most special hotels I've ever been to! The hotel seems old, from the communist "age". Yet it is kept clean and in original state, which makes it unique. I constantly had the feeling I was the only person in de hotel, and it was kind of creepy, but I liked it! The rooms are very large (the suites) and they have all you need. For this price, I definitely recommend it!

The elevator gave me the feeling it was the first ever made and it would tumble down any second. Take the stairs!

Very old and you can see that once was a very chick hotel.. Beautiful location in the center of old town. I would like to come back again.

We spent Easter weekend at this hotel and had a nice experience. The breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. the hotel's location was great, with easy access to the city center and nearby attractions. We also enjoyed the comfortable beds in our room.

The room decor felt outdated and could use some renovation. We also experienced some noise from nearby rooms during our stay, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Lovely large suite, very clean, huge balcony. Next to Cathedral and so very central. Free parking right outside. Average Breakfast. Dark panelled wood, felt a bit like staying in a stately home. Does say four star on Booked.net but on hotel front it says three star.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the center of the city with great views of the Old City. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences.

The location of this hotel was perfect for Christmas shopping and sightseeing. We were able to walk to all of the popular markets and attractions easily. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was satisfactory. The highlight of our stay was the indoor pool which we enjoyed daily. The pool was clean and heated, and the perfect way to relax after a long day out in the cold.

The hotel was outdated and in dire need of renovations. The rooms were equipped with old furniture and the carpets needed to be replaced.

We were attending the European Karate Championships and the staff could not do enough to help; they provided space to practice, let the children relax in the pool outside hours, provided information to assist with our stay. It was brilliant.
